Convoy in Canada due to covid mandates


In Ontario, there are truckers that have lost their job due to Justin Trudeau mandating vaccines for truckers. But not only are they losing their jobs we are not receiving food supplies because of the lack of truckers. There is a convoy happening in Ottawa where all the truckers are blocking trafic until Trudeau sees what he is doing and takes away the mandates that have been put into place. Trudeau said that he might not have a choice but to bring the army into this. I honestly belive that what Trudeau is doing is not helping nor solving anything. I belive that our jobs should not be at risk and we should have a choice on what is ingected into our body's. If ur not vacciated u are not aloud to do anything that includes going into a public place with other people that dont live in ur house hold. Everyone being fired from their jobs because they dont want to get vaccinated are all suffering and worrying about money, most have family's and kids they have to worry about and make sure there is food on the table and Trudeau is not taking into consideration that all these people have lives outside of working. The convoy is happening in everywhere in ontario. There are well over 50,000,000 truckers that are taking stand in this on-going issue. Not even just the truckers are taking action, residants are making posters and standing with them. Without these truck drivers, we will be out of food in about a month if that. We depend on these people to risk there lives in the winter on icy roads to deliver, packages from amazon and other online stores and food slupply, all the supply for the fast food company's and stores either are not reciving there stock or they are late due to them having to find drivers that are vaccinated to drive it all over. The USA is even having drivers come over for the convoy to stand with the canadians and all that cannot come all the way over are goint to be sittng at the boarder to show that what Trudeau is doing is not okay. If u compair the USA to Canada we keep going into lockdowns and they are just opening everything up and saying enogh is enogh.

    Without even needing to get into the science behind any of it, it is difficult to support the medium the truckers are using to protest. The convoy itself is problematic for a few different reasons. For example what happens when the ambulance carrying someone's grandma who is in cardiac arrest can't get to the hospital because of the convoy. Before anyone says that the truckers get out of the way for EMS, take a walk down to Huron line and you can see, even if they wanted to get out of the way they wouldn't be able to (at some points during the day). I support their right to protest but I do not support the way they are going about it. One last thing regarding the number of truckers who are taking part in the protest, I'm not sure where you saw the number 50,000,000, but there are less than 40,000,000 people in the entire country.

    Personally I don't know where I stand on the situation, I strongly believe that people should get vaccinated just because of the science behind it but I can understand some of the points you made, a vaccination shouldn't be the determining factor on whether or not people can work and therefore feed their families so it's a very tough situation.

    I have two sides to this situations, like you said about us not receiving our essentials is such a terrible thing to be happening especially at this time. This doesn't only affect the income of truck drivers but affects the companies that aren't receiving there stock. But, I don't like the way their handling the protest obviously Justin Trudeau isn't helping either with this situation but they shouldn't be causing traffic jams. In my opinion its stupid to be blocking people to where they wanna go.

 The prices on everything are increasing tremendously it is ridiculous. The price of gas has gone up from 0.96 cents to 1.50$ per L. The prices of food now days have went up tremendously. The USA compared to Canada (covid regulations)

 If u ask me my opinion on the covid regulations such as the masks, the vaccines, and the public gathering numbers I think that it is a big joke. Okay, I understand that this is a virus killing people but at the same time, we are all going to get it eventually. I believe that we should just open everything up like the US has and they seem to be doing a lot better than we are here in Windsor. The USA has dropped the mandates on masks as long as u are vaccinated, which I believe that we should be doing the same here in Canada. This virus does not seem to be going anywhere anytime soon at least, we are going to have to learn to live with this virus. We are all going to eventually get it and start building the immunity to this virus. With all that is going on and all of the kids, students and people standing up for our wrights as humains is a start to showing Justin Trudeau that something needs to change.
